Selma Köksal (1968- )
Born in Istanbul, Selma Köksal completed her undergraduate education at Boğaziçi University, Faculty of Administrative Sciences, Department of Business Administration. He studied acting at Istanbul University State Conservatory Theater Department. Later, he completed his master's degree at Marmara University, Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Cinema and Television. Köksal, who played the leading role in theater plays, also directed many plays. He won the third prize in the 11th Orhan Murat Arıburnu "Short Film Category" with his first short film, "Encounter", which he shot in 1999. He shot his second short film, "Collision", in 2002. With this film, he received the "Best Film" award in the IFSAK competition. He wrote the script of his first feature film, "Fikret Bey" (2007), together with Necla Algan. In 2012, he returned to the director's chair with the movie "Spring Rebel". He worked as a lecturer in private universities. He continues his career as an academic.
