Nuran Şener (1935 - 1970)
Şener, the second female director of Turkish cinema, was born in 1935. Şener, who completed his undergraduate education at the Faculty of Letters, Department of Pedagogy, did his doctorate at Sorbonne University. Şener, who conducted research on child education, shot the children's fairy tale "We Are Going to Aydede" in 1964. Author Tarık Dursun K. was the assistant of Şener, who wrote the script of the film. The movie "We're Going to Aydede" was adapted from the theater play "Aliş Fezada" and adapted into the cinema. In 1965, he wrote and directed the movie "Guilty Children". This was the last film of Şener, who brought the movie "Lumbermen's Children" (1966), which he wrote as a theater play, to the cinema. Şener, who wrote his own works throughout his directorial career, made children the subjects of his films.
