Nisan Akman (1958 -   )

Nisan Akman came to life in Ankara in 1958. Akman's mother began to take part in theater at a young age after marrying Tuncay Önder, who worked at the Ankara Art Theatre. With the establishment of TRT, he took part in children's programs. Tuncay Önder worked with Nisan Akman when he started working in advertising and television documentaries. Akman, who was interested in photography, worked in magazines. Akman worked as assistant director, assistant director of photography, camera and director assistant on the sets. In 1986, he shot his first movie, "White Bicycle". This film received the "Jury Encouragement Award" at the 23rd Antalya Film Festival (1986).

In 1987, he directed the movie "Bir Kırık Bebek". While Hülya Avşar played the leading role in the film, famous names such as Erdal Özyağcılar and Derya Alabora also starred. "White Bike", which tells the life story of Gülizar who wants to achieve a good life, won the "Best Supporting Actress" (Derya Alabora) award at the Ankara Film Festival (1988). His last film, "After Yesterday, Before Tomorrow", was released in 1987. In the film, the obstacles to women's employment were discussed. While Akman addressed women's problems in his films, he made films that brought women to the fore.
