Lale Oraloğlu (1924 - 2007)
Lale Oraloğlu came to life in Izmir in 1924. Oraloğlu, who completed his high school education at the German High School, started his undergraduate education at the Faculty of Law. However, Oraloğlu, who studied here for only one year, later transferred to the Department of Near Eastern Philology. Oraloğlu, who also received conservatory education in the meantime, graduated from the Faculty of Letters, Department of English Language Philology. Oraloğlu, who started journalism in 1951, wrote columns in Ekspres Akşam and Yeni Sabah. Oraloğlu, who also started acting, acted in the 1951 movie "Yavuz Sultan Selim Ağlamak" directed by Sami Ayanoğlu. Oraloğlu, who also took part in theater plays during this period, founded his own theater, Oraloğlu Theatre, upon the suggestion of Muhsin Ertuğrul.
She won the "Most Successful Actress" award at the Turkish Film Festival with her films "Leylaklar Altında" (1954), "You Are the One I Love" (1955) and "Kırık Çanaklar" (1960). Oraloğlu, who continues to be a screenwriter as well as his actor, received the "Most Successful Screenwriter" award with the script of the movie "You were the One I Loved". He directed the films "Bir Kadın Uğruna" (1971), "Bizimkiler" (1971), "Hızlı Hızır" (1972) and "Ölüm Bebekleri" (1972). Since the films he directed failed at the box office, he paid his debts by working in the theater. Apart from the industry, he also worked academically as a theater instructor at Selçuk University.
