Notes about the movie:
It is an exemplary film of the effects of the post-1980 independent feminist movement on cinema. The character played by Türkan Şoray in the movie symbolizes the role of a modern woman with the image of a rich urban housewife, while on the other hand, she symbolizes the traditional woman's role by submitting to her husband's infidelity in order to protect the home. Through the film, women's submission to male domination is embodied.
