Gülsün Karamustafa
Gülsün Karamustafa (1946 -   )

Gülsün Karamustafa was born in Ankara in 1946. He graduated from Bedri Rahmi Eyüpoğlu Workshop, Department of Painting, Academy of Fine Arts in 1969. Karamustafa continued his painting studies after graduation. He also worked on video projects, environmental arrangements and installations. Many of his works have been exhibited abroad on international platforms. In 2003, two video works were released at the 56th Locarno Film Festival. He entered the sets for the first time with Atıf Yılmaz's movie "Bir Yudum Sevgi" (1984). He worked on this film as art director. He later continued to work as art director in Başar Sabuncu's films "The Woman to Be Hanged" (1986) and "Kupa Kızı" (1986). He had his first directorial experience by adapting Füruzan's story "My Cinemas" (1990) to the cinema. He shared the director's chair with Füruzan. The famous actress of the period, Hülya Avşar, starred in the film. “My Cinemas” won the “Best Actress” (Hülya Avşar) award at the 23rd Cinema Writers Association Awards.
