Fide Meral Motan (1948 -   )

 

Fide Motan came to life in Urfa in 1948. He completed his undergraduate education at Gazi University, School of Press and Broadcasting. After his university education, he worked at Ankara Radio for eight years. Motan later moved to Ankara Television and started working as an assistant in productions.  He had his first directorial experience with the movie "Cadı Ağaç" (1994), adapted from Ayla Kutlu's novel. In 1997, he took the director's chair for the second time with the movie "The Flower of the Wrong Pot". He worked with Sabri Savcı as the director of photography in both of his films. Motan, who shot his first two films for the cinema with the support of TRT, prepared his third film, "Hepsi Bir Düştü" (1999), for television.
