Belmin Söylemez (1966 - )
Belmin Söylemez was born in Istanbul in 1966. At a young age, he worked as an editor and copywriter in the cinema, television and advertising industries. She worked as the assistant of Bilge Olgaç, one of the most important female directors of Turkish cinema, for 2 years. Söylemez, who later became a director himself, shot the short films “Uyku Hali” (1999), “Bıyık” (2000) and “This Ne Güzel Demokrasi” (2008). In 2012, he directed his first feature film, "Present Tense". With this film, he won the "Best Film" award at the 19th Adana Golden Boll Film Festival.
