Welcome to the Women Directors Archive Project!
Invisible Women of Cinema is an online platform created by Konya Selçuk University and supported by EU CultureCIVIC projects. Headquartered in Konya, Turkey, our platform focuses on showcasing and promoting films directed by female directors and is dedicated to female directors in the film industry. We aim to draw attention to the often overlooked stories and experiences of invisible women in cinema, while also serving as an archive for films directed by women. While we provide space for these films to be watched and appreciated by wider audiences through our online platform, we also provide detailed information about the directors, their films, cast and style. Whether you're looking to discover the work of female directors or learn more about their contributions to the film industry, Women of Invisible Cinema is the go-to platform, accessible to anyone with an internet connection. With the support of EU CultureCIVIC projects, Invisible Women in Cinema is committed to providing a comprehensive resource for film enthusiasts and researchers interested in exploring the contributions of female directors. The project was created by Yasemin Özkent, who is committed to showcasing the work of female directors and creating a comprehensive archive of their films.
